But this format seems to b the fairest. Another suggestion would be to have a double-league format in the group stages (each team playing other twice). but that would mean 24 more matches. This will b too much for the already two-month long tournament.<BR/><BR/>Or <BR/>Having a first round of minnows with only two qualifying for the final round.
